We stopped by 152 Centre Street in Brooklyn NY to watch Team New York working on one of their design elements. The location used to be home to a demolition and trucking company but now it houses metal design shop Dyad.
Brooklyn is ground Zero for the bleeding edge of design. We showed up just as Doug Fanning was running Team New York through the finer points of cutting brushed aluminum with a massive band saw. Amazing to see the students tossing around 12′ pieces of aluminum like it’s an every day thing. Here are a few pics of them working with a special, behind the scenes look at us working. Enjoy.
